THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION

SUBSTANCE ABUSE / MENTAL HEALTH

Sober Studios are multi-track recording studios and therapeutic art spaces conceived by PATH co-founders Natalie Lewis Schere and Seth “Brimstone” Schere. Spaces have been set up from Florida to the Caribbean to Royal Life Centers campuses (Arizona & Washington state). Participants learn songwriting, music production, and audio recording basics. With support from trained group facilitators, guests are guided through a process of creative writing, lyrical expression, and/or production of original audio recordings that document their journey to a healthier life.

ADULT TREATMENT

In 2011, PATH piloted Hip Hop/recreational therapy at Lifestyles College of Development. We now offer 20 group therapy sessions in detox, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient programs (IOP) settings for adults overcoming substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health challenges. Our work helps clients stay sober, cope with life’s challenges, express themselves, and live a more healthy, fulfilling life.

ADOLESCENT TREATMENT

In 2010, PATH prioritized risk factor reduction and substance abuse intervention for teens through partnerships with DFYIT (Drug Free Youth In Town) and the Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition. We are committed to supporting youth as they work through the physical, emotional, psychological, and social challenges that come with adolescence. From 2014 – 2017, PATH facilitated three recreational group therapy sessions at Teen Treatment Center in Lake Worth, FL. In 2018, PATH served youth in Broward County, FL in collaboration with Citrus Health and the Institute of Contemporary Art.
