AGENDA | NOVEMBER 5, 2023

Shradha M Patel helped launch PATH’s PATH.edu initiative and has led the project since 2021. She is Associate Director of Fellow Success at Hack.Diversity in Boston, MA and has over 20 years of education experience as a teacher, college placement counselor, and former Principal. She launched her teaching career in both Boston and Cambridge public schools, and since 2003 has joined the Roxbury Prep Charter School family. At Roxbury Prep she has taught, supported high school and college placement, led 2 middle schools, and founded Roxbury Prep High School (RPHS) in 2015.

Shradha graduated from Brown University with a Bachelors, and Tufts University with a Masters. Outside of Hack, Shradha enjoys spending time with my 8 year old and her extended framily enjoying the arts, traveling, and time spent laughing, and just being in space together.

The PAIR Project is a creative, personal, and professional development residency for qualified artists, scholars and arts administrators from around the world whose work is informed by Hip Hop culture. PAIR artists/administrators spend a minimum of 2 weeks and up to 1 year:

1) developing their own work in collaboration with local artists

2) connecting with the Hiphop/arts community around PATH’s mission and programs

3) utilizing the PATH Truthrisery, a collection of Hip Hop resources, to inspire new work or build on existing work

The Rubric

In 2023, PATH celebrates its 15th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop culture. As we transition into the 60 year anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in 2024, PATH programs will highlight connections between the Civil Rights Movement and the rise of Hip Hop culture. We’re delighted to share our beloved culture with Miami and the world. Join us!
