NATALIE LEWIS SCHERE

Co-Founder and Executive Director

Natalie “Natty” Lewis Schere is co-founder and Executive Director of PATH: Preserving, Archiving & Teaching Hiphop, Inc, a multicultural, intergenerational skillshare collective based in Miami, FL.

As a creative producer and consultant, her work intersects the arts, education, service leadership, and social entrepreneurship. Natalie has brokered public/private partnerships in the U.S., Caribbean, and Africa in the arts & culture, therapeutic arts, business development, and sustainability sectors. These include collaborations with Partners of the Americas, Western Hemisphere Embassies, the Library of Congress, Royal Recovery Resources, and Abrabrand.

She is a  member of the Society of Royce Fellows (Brown University Swearer Center for Public Service), a 2017 Knight Arts Challenge winner, and is the recipient of Jason Jeffers’ 2020 Knight Arts Champion Award. Natalie serves as an advisor for the EESAC (Educational Excellence School Advisory Council) at the Miami-Dade Juvenile Justice Center School, Spoken Soul Festival, and provides business development support to emerging entrepreneurs. 

Her beloved family and intimate circle of homegirls, mentors, and mentees help her balance a rigorous professional life. In her private time, she gardens, collects art, creates, and spends time in nature. Natalie is a sustainable development enthusiast with an obsession for all things multi-purpose, reversible, and velcro.

SETH "BRIMSTONE" SCHERE

Co-Founder and Creative Director

Seth “Brimstone” Schere is a Miami-based creative and producer who has developed a diverse body of work informed by Hip Hop culture beginning in the 1980s. He is a leader in Hiphop cultural preservation through projects like PATH: Preserving, Archiving & Teaching Hiphop, Inc., (co-founder and Artistic Director), a non profit organization based in Miami, FL; and Sober Studios, a therapeutic music program for people overcoming substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. With over 25 theatrical productions, 4 audio albums, 1 book, and several articles to his credit, Brimstone has the experience and versatility to seamlessly switch hats between director, producer, sound designer, educator, writer, and performer. 

His work has been awarded a Here and Now commission (2021), Knight Arts Challenge  (2017 – 2018), SCRATCH DJ Academy Community Award (2012), Hip Hop Lifetime Achievement Award (2010), and Best of Miami New Times ( 2006 & 2007).  

Brim is currently the resident host for the Museum of Graffiti’s “IG Art Talk,” a weekly internet show recognizing graffiti artists around the world. When not in a theater setting, he is working in substance abuse treatment centers in South Florida, Arizona, and Washington State using Hip Hop therapy as a means to help people overcome addiction.

Some of his notable collaborators include Adrienne Arsht Center, Dranoff Two Piano Foundation, The Jungle Brothers, KRS One, Miami Light Project, Museum of Graffiti, Spam All Stars, Teo Castellanos, and Toyota.

KAYLA AGUILERA

Marketing + Production Coordinator | Community Engagement

Kayla Darcy is a Miami, FL native born with a musical ear and the ability to catch on quickly. At the age of 5, she began training in classical piano and violin and her love for music has not stopped since. As a music business student, Kayla first interned with PATH and was subsequently hired as part of the administrative team in 2017. As a core member of the crew, Kayla is PATH’s secret weapon on all things creative and innovative. This ranges from the basics of music theory, photography, videography, program coordination and graphic design. Lifelong learning has not only opened doors for her to become a music producer with a current project in the works, but to also have a hand in most of PATH’s creative productions. You might have seen some of her work through the marketing campaigns including flyers, promo videos, and overall outreach strategies. Her experience from both sides of the entertainment industry – administrative & creative – Kayla runs her own artist development and management company supporting emerging artists primarily working in music and audio creation.

JENNA GUNTER

Program + Resource Coordinator

Jenna is a private voice and piano instructor at Kendall Conservatory of Music and has performed throughout South Florida with a band called Mojo Scoundrels from 2019-2021. Jenna graduated from FIU with her B.A. in Communication and a certificate in music business in 2021.

She is a lifelong student of vocal performance and songwriting. She obtained her A.A. in Jazz Voice with a pathway to Music Education (2014-2017) at Miami Dade College. As a student, Jenna performed with multiple collegiate professional level ensembles such as the RnB, Night Time Jazz Band, and Vocal Fusion. She was the leader of a student run organization responsible for creating ‘Fusion at the Koffee House’ and ‘Sound Off,’ events that provided professional development opportunities for music students. During her MDC years, she had multiple opportunities to perform and compete in shows using her original songs and composition including MDC’s 2016 Jane Pyle composition competition.
